The creel survey showed that 1,200 lbs of walleye were harvested through the month of December per Tom Jones, the Mille Lacs DNR lake specialist. He stated that in addition , about 6,000 lbs of walleye were released, most in the 10-12 inch range. He states that the walleye and perch fishing has started fairly slow.....I'd say!!

So that is 12,000 1/2# 10-12" walleyes and 600 2# walleyes kept...

Mark, I copied what was in the paper. 1,200 lbs is what was printed?? I'll post a reply if they have a correction in next weeks paper! I know we've caught a bunch of the littles ones!!
