Check with DISH. They told me a couple of months a go that I could buy the equipment for $150 and own it. Then pay $10.00 a month on a month to month system to get just local channels. This would be non HD.

I visited a dealer in Stillwater. I did a find a retailer search near the bottom of the DISH web site.

 

With Directv at your home - you can just add a receiver or take 1 with you for the weekend - you will need a dish, but on craigslist you can find them for less than 25.00

I have a hunting shack - all we do is take a tv and receiver with us and we have the game.
