Sounds like a good time. Just to let you know, my Dad had a flyer from work saying there was a Ditch Witch customer appreciation event going on up there on Thursday. It sounds like its going to be a party on the ice somewhere out from Hunters.

Good point Bobber...

Seven years ago, a good friend of mine and many others, Marc Simon, died. To remember him and his love for the outdoors, and especially ice fishing, we do this trip every year. He was a regular vistor with me at Hunters Point before he died, and he absolutely loved the resort.

For years, we have chosen Nitti's Hunters Point for our trip. In our case, they have been nothing but supportive of our group, and always makes sure we are well taken care of. Our group has a little fishing contest and the winner gets a plaque and other goodies for the largest fish caught.

Each year, in the name of the Simon Invitational, I make sure any kind of money we are able to raise...via shirt sales, raffles, private donations, a variety of contests, etc. is donated to www.SAVE.org. It is a suicide prevention organizaton based here in Minnesota and helps struggling individuals realize that suicide isn't the answer. We don't have any big plans this year, except we will have a few shirts to sell if anyone is interested.

For the first time this year, he is brother, Josh, is able to join us. He is very excited.

The group always has a great time, and I am usually able to donate something to SAVE on behalf of the group's efforts.

It sounds like an excellent event and an even better history and purpose.
