I second the Navionics. For 10 bucks or so. A steal of a deal. I have an iPhone. I have lots of Apps for various things. One really useful weather App I have is called "My Radar". Is it up to the minute and is very accurate. You can zoom in close and see any coming precip in motion... You can do map view, Aerial view, etc.

I use my radar also on my iphone. Love it.

Just downloaded the Navionics App. You guys just saved me $300. I was looking for a new GPS w/chip. This is the same map I have on the boat.

Just a FYI, I bought the Navionics North map last year. When my phone did a automatic update it was no longer
available.

Another option for weather radar is RadarScope. It'll cost you ten bucks but it's the best radar app available.

Thanks for the link and great advice on the navionics application.

I have purchased and dowloaded the navionics application for my Apple iPad2 tablet computer this morning and the maps are awesome. They are very much the same quality as on the Malmo Bay Bomber boat and my Lowrance HDS-7 Sonar Navionics chip. COOL.

Thanks again for the link and great tip. The iPad2 is my 'travel' computer and that really makes my day to have such a good naviagtion aid anywhere I am traveling.

Hello Greg,

I think there is a software fix for this auto update issue causing previous purchases to become 'no longer available'. I saw an software update message on my iPad2 tablet computer that dealt with that same issue.

If I may suggest -- call your phone store (is it an Apple iPhone?) and there should be a correction so that no purchased applications, maps or itunes are lost.

It worked on my iPad2 and after auto updates all my music and applications were avaialble.

Steinart all you have to do is redownload it. It will act like its going to charge you again but then will say you already purchased it and do you want to download it again. Just make sure you download the same software as before... Same thing happened to me. If they do charge you for it... Report it to apple they will fix it no problems.

I have an android phone. I emailed navionics awhile ago and they said the lake maps was not available due to them re writing the maps bla bla bla. Any way I check yesterday and it was back on the phone. So its all good.
