I have not but have had freinds up the past 2 weeks. They went out of Border View lodge and did pretty good. Caught their limits each day they fished with a mix of bigger and smaller fish. Lot's of smaller Sauger but also some nice keeper walleye as well.

They fished anywhere from 8 miles out to 15 miles out and all the way out to the reefs by Garden Island.

Sounds like they are starting to move houses closer in now 5-7 miles.

I will be heading up next week as well for my first trip of the season. Looking forward to it!! Little frustrated with the lack of keeper fish on Mille Lacs this year and overall lack of fish. Have only caught 2 fish all year on jigging rod on Mille Lacs. All have come by way of rattle reel in permanent.
