The Red Door Resort Fishing Report 6-6-13

The water temperature remains in the low to mid 50's this week. We have heard of some reports that a few fish are being caught out on the mud flats. Leeches on lindy rigs pulled along the edges of the flats has been the method used. Most success has come from the 7-12 foot range out along the break west of the resort. Bobber fishing with shiner minnows have caught most of the fish while some are pitching jigs and minnows and catching some also. The late evening bite has also been productive with a slip bobber and leech in that same 7-12 foot area. The smallmouth bass have been active in the shallow areas also! The keeper ratio remains on the slow side in the fish cleaning shack.....most of the fish being caught are in the 21-26 inch range.
