Clueless is right. I voted good also. After this open water season, thinking there were not going to be near the fish in the 14-18 range and seeing a majority in that range and smaller was something I would have never thought. My theory going forward is with the cool summer and water temps keeping the mortality down, tulipee on the upswing and the amount of perch we have seen the last few years the lake will put out some fish for this guy this ice season. Has to be better than last season.
I put Good also.... if I catch 3 walleyes, eaters anyways.... it wil be better than last year, which was just OK. I believe the reason the "views" is so high, because unregistered people can view only. Lets get all you lurkers signed up.... all it will do is help make the site better !!!
I said good because I had a great summer and fall for smaller "eater" size fish. The perch were getting in August were true Jumbos as well. This winter should be fun.

I voted Good as well...Buddy and I monitor the site and the lake all year and really enjoy how much information is available, especially for a few guy's who get to come up every year from Southern California to hit the hard stuff. (January 22nd-31st)
Entire time spent on the Ice, Fishing and enjoying Cold Ones as often as possible!!!
This will be our 6th staright year on the lake, always the 3rd week or so of January. We get into Hunter's every year for Beers and meal, but we've stayed out of McQuoids each year...Terry and Kevin have been good to us year in and year out so we keep coming back due to their hospitality. Everyone on the Lake has been Fantastic and I can honestly say, we have never had a bad experience. Everyone treats us Great, that's why we enjoy coming up Every year!!! Typically its just my buddy and I, but this year we think we have two more guy's coimg to see what it's all about. Can't wait till they get to hear that Ice poppin late at night in the house...LOL!!
Ice Man, you are right...Our wife's prefer we take them somewhere warm and for the most part we do, we hit the Colorado River in Lake Havasu, Az during the summer months when it's a dry heat of only 115 degrees!! But I have to say, my buddy and I really enjoy the hard water, we come up and make a one hell of a week out of it every year!! People out our way think we are Nuts for going somewhere where the temps get down right Freakin Cold to the bone, but we take lots of pics and try share how cool it really is...Can't wait!!!
I voted "not so good," but that mostly has to do with the fact that my group is "not so good" at fishing the hard water. Actually, I should have voted terrible, but I'm trying to be positive.
We've been fishing Mille Lacs during one weekend in late January/early February for about 5 years now, and it seems like we get about one 'eye every other year. I know a large part of it has to do with the fact that we aren't the quietest group on the lake, but we do fish hard during the prime hours and often come up with nothing more than a few dead minnows.
That being said, we still keep coming back because we have such a good time. And that one 'eye every other year brings the house down. You'd think we won game seven of the world series.
