We are looking @ getting a new boat.  Actually used, but new for us.  It comes with a 2000 135 Evinrude hp Ficht.

Does anyone have any reviews or comments on this motor?  I am unfamiliar with that one.

I had a 1998 Johnson 175 ficht and no one would touch it when I wanted to trade it in. Frankies said no way. they would only give me money for the boat. Check with Frankies and ask them.

Thanks Doug.  That really helps.  Sounds like the 2000's, especially the 135, are a safe bet.

Well, the boat I was looking at sold and I found the same boat with a 2008 E-tec!  Thanks for the input.  I am more confident with the E-tec.
