Can anyone help with the easist way to convert Humminbird waypoint format to to Lowrance format? I'm not sure if this computer illiterate individual will be able to figure this out and it's kinda important. Thanks in advance
I'm not as savvy as most guys out there, but if I was going to convert, I know that since Humminbird is not compatable to Lowrance, I'd get the exact coordinance of each waypoint and write them all down. Then I'd go to my Lowrance and dial in the coordinates and add my waypoints. If you have alot of waypoints, this method might take a minute or several....... Only way that I know of, though.
I have moved wapoints from my Lowrance to my bird. Once you back up the waypoints on the Lowrance you can open up the backup file on Humminbird software (on your computer).
To do that you have to create an account with Humminbird (need your serial number) and download and install the software.
Once Humminbird PC is running you can open and convert the waypoints trails and routes. Once they are converted you can import them on the Humminbird by inserting the SD card and powering on your unit. SIMPLE!!
There are vidoes out there that will walk you through this process step by step. Go on youtube and do a little looking around.
Thanks for all the input Guys. I actually found a download on Lowrances web that is for converting Humminbird format (which is GPX) to Lowrance format (which is USR). Haven't tried just yet but looks pretty easy. I know Humminbird came out with the software conversion 1st, and then Lowrance followed suit. Thanks again for your help Mike
