The guys ventured out today for the first time and found mostly 7-10 inches in most spots. There were still some spots where there was open water last week that we found less than 4 inches. We will continue to explore out there after lunch and I will report our findings.
Yep, we went back out after lunch and found pretty much the same. Anywhere from 6-10 inches most places. We found a pretty good stretch by the deep side of Lakeside 3/4 that only had 3 inches. (Must be that open water Bobber was talking about the other day. Most is all good healthy ice. No new cracks or heaves. Very little snow ice considering. All in all, we're progressing pretty good I'll be checking the ice out to the Boot tomorrow...........
Howdy Tat2Jonnie, Malmo Mike's Report: They pulled out a fish house today (12/07/10) Tuesday at 10AM at Castaways Resort -- next door to us on Malmo Bay. They pulled out a smaller house - 8x10 - with two four wheelers and it is now out near Fisher's Rock pile.
This report is official from Malmo Mike's Mother... (aka...Malmo Mom).
I would rather fish with you any time Tat2J! Be careful there Jon, Come Walleye's... Monday Night Football was not much of a game. So we better go fishing pretty soon.
The ice is getting stronger. I'm getting my 8 x 10 ready to go out on the sand in front of Ready Creek this weekend (the Perchslayer). Got my stickers already for that and my 10 x 20, although it might be a week or so to get our big house out. Average ice of 8" out to the flats already! The least we found was 6 1/2. Gonna be a good Christmas on the ice.........
Attaboy Jon, T2J, I wll get my ice fishing poles ready and the filet knife sharpe for those nice walleye filet's and humongo perch to filet too. Hope I can be there in January and rent a nice house. That's the plan.
