My wife and I were out on our wheelers out of Red Door. (We live across the street) They aren't allowing anything but wheelers and sleds, but we did see a couple trucks out there. Great night to be out there, though. We still have 38" of ice, so if you can drive around the drifts, cracks and heaves, I guess it's driveable in a truck as long as you can find a good access.
Nice Doug, It is another reason we all dig Mille Lacs. I cannot wait to photograph a few sunsets or two off of our beautiful dock in Malmo Bay. A great job on the photo moment as they say!
Please keep the ice out count down moving. Open water here we come ....
The East Side rules: --- Fishing, Sunsets, fun at Hunter's, Sunsets on the dock (at Malmo Mike's), following Tat2jonnie on the launch, finding Bobber in his camo outfit, grilling elk filets at -12 below zero, makng sure Glen does not run low on cold ones, walleye shore lunch and the sasquatch stories at Doug's cabin. -- The east side is best -- but not necessarily in this order.
