Just logged into the Mille Lacs webcam page & watched what looked like a net buoy go past on the webcam looking out towards hawkbill point- If it was a buoy, it was white, cylinder shaped & would submerge from time to time as it went past, like it had something attached... I logged in at 12:38pm today..
I picked up 2 home made milk carton bouys out there last week. Saw another one but let that one be. Could just be a couple of knucleheads with no gps.... Weighted with only about 1/2 on washers on fishing line. Easy to get bown away.

That sounds like knuckle heads Jon....good for you to pick them up.
FYI, my brothers and I (Malmo Ton, Malmo Don and Malmo Mike) along with my nephew Dan (Wild Ass Walleye Dan) found no 'lost' nets n Malmo Bay areas along our property.
We hope that this was GOOD NEWS?!
I feel it is likely some 'lost' nets were pulled out into deep water with ice flows and sunk -- but as you say we will never get the truth on the unattended net debacle.
Anyone else find lost nets?
I suspect that Tat2jonnie and Bobber had a trophy board of found net buoys?!~@
I have contributed to the legal fund and we must cointinue to do so. It is our best hope.
