I just read that the DNR says there is way around NOT having a legal fishing liscense. Any "temporary permits" given by resorts are not binding and anyone caught without a legal liscense WILL be ticketed.

Sorry, I guess that isn't really new news. Johns post with the DNR link mentioned the same. I had thought I heard that they would not be enforcing the liscense thing. What about the people coming from out of state for a weeks vacation that already paid?
I'm not pro DNR but they do protect us from people that abuse the system. I have heard of a lot of resort owners that have really been hurt by the lack of DNR issued fishing licenses. Is there accountablity by the State of Minnesota to re-imburse these people for damages done by their lack of responsibility?
