That's going to be a long detour..............

They said it will only be a month, though.

Me and Bobber were going to change jobs for a month.wink (He lives by Hunter's Point and works at Red Door and I live next to Red Door and work at Hunter's Point.)

Just kidding. We're actually changing houses for a month.

Bummer on the North Shore --But they have to fix the darn bridge....

The important question:

Can Malmo Mike get to the Red Door Cafe for Walleye filets and hash browns during the

closure of Hwy 18? Does not look good driving all that back road.

Help Help.

I will have to use my boat to get to the Red door marina maybe???

Bobber is out of the area and I have to track down Tat2jonnie somehow.

MM arrives 09-11 through 09-16-12.

No...let's switch trucks? You drive to the creek and leave your rig on the westside and I'll leave mine on the eastside??

Works for me....now we need to just get our hours to match? Oh, and I'm up at LOW for 8 days at the start of the detour! so who knows what will work....

either way its a bummer! my plan is drive up Glory road to co.rd.12 and than over to ditch bank and south on Aitkin Co. Rd 51 to Red Door.....10 miles of additional roads...gravel mine you also! might add 20 minutes to my short little 15 minute drive to work!!! NOT A GOOG DEAL AT ALL

MM made it to Red Door today and the waypoint Cafe...the detour from Glen County Rd 12 was not too bad. I ordered the last walleye filet that they had at lunch hour

smilesmilebiggrinwink

Remember going west bound you want County 51 south to Red Door Resort. (Do not use the Glory Baptist Church Road -- as it comes up short and does not get you around the bridge work.) They had the new large concrete spillway/ culverts ready to set today -- so that is great in just a few days.

Bobber is AWOL up at LOW for the MTT event ....hmm

Have fun Bobber, MM was there. Missed you again. cryconfuseno

Was just at the bridge tonight. The workers were working til 7:30, so it's really moving along. They said it'll be done within a week, so they're getting it done. They're done backfilling and now they're layering and tamping the roadbed over the culvert.

No more speed bump at the bridge.

The bridge is done. They're landscaping and painting the stripes, but the bridge is 8' wider on each side and there's no bump!

Thanks Jon, smilesmilesmile

FYI: in pursuit of th ewalleye filet dinner:

Malmo Mom (Jackie) made it through to Red Door last night just fine. They had a great dinner of course.

She said the new road section and landscaping was quite nice.

Cool, MM.
