Jack Digital TV Antenna

I just bought a Jack Digital TV antenna and Surelock signal indicator for my ice house located on east side of Mille Lacs. I have not installed it yet but I was wondering if anyone has any experince with Digital TV signal in the Mille Lacs area? I have read mixed results with this but most of these were from a few years ago.

Can anyone share any experiences with me?

I get great reception in the woods across the road from Hunters Pt. If your out on the ice, you'll have no problems ! Now we just need ice.......LOL

How high do you have the antenna? I plan on installing mine on my existing Satellite dish mounting pole on ice house. Will be about 7-8 ft from ground.

It is on the cabin roof, so about 16 feet. You will have an excellant view of the southern sky on the ice, should be no issues.

Cool. How many digital channels are you able to get and are you able to get Fox 9 out of Minneapolis for football games?

Yep I have heard the same thing from several other people as well. I am just going to go with Direct TV as I do have the Dish on the house. Was hoping to avoid a monthly fee for something that just won't get used a lot.

I've still got an antenna setup. When the TV transmissions went digital

My channel selection went to hell. Last winter I replaced my aging antenna

with a new 8ft directional one (60-80 mile range). I made the mistake of buying the RCA

5 ft antenna mast sections. I raised the antenna up about 8 ft above

the roof line of my house. That night we had a cold front move through

and my antenna masts collasped from the wind gusts. @#%@@# furious !!

ANYWAY...I was only able to get one ABC channel and three/four PBS

channels. I did pickup a couple of weak signals during the day, but

they dropped out at dusk.

I havn't been able to pick up any Twin Cities stations with a digital

signal.
