Get it together

It sure looks like a real mess that's developed on ML. It's time for action. You have waited too long. I give credit to S. Fellegy for his attemps at righting this wrong but this is more than a one man fight. As an old Mn. biker, I have stood with my brothers and sisters on the steps of the State Capital many times. Regardless of the weather you have to stand together, state your concerns, hold up your signs and let everyone know whats truly going on. Find a leader you respect, gather those who will be financially hurt, and those of you who are "itchen and complaining on this forum and get your azzes off your computers and down to the capital. Make sure the news channels Know and make some noise. Take your passion to the public. ML. as you see, is being systematically  destroyed by those whose allegience is to small groups wih a lot of clout. This is no longer the 1800"s and it's time to come out of the stone age! This has been mismanaged as a trophy lake and the trophys are eating their young. There will be pain in this stuggle but you all have to man up if you want to save your lake. Trust me this works, I've been in this battle and won. You decide if it's worth the trouble.     P.S   " NETTING "   GET REAL POLITITIONS!

I think our leader is Steve Fellegy ? I have manned up a couple times with $$$.... going to the capital will not change court rulings, going to court will. That is what Steve's efforts are doing and I agree..... everybody man up with some $$$ and then come on this post and let us all know your in the fight !!!!

The final outcome does rest with the courts , I agree . But the courts are people who see and react to what is taking place in our society. There's strength in numbers. A show of solidarity will go a long way. As I said earlier "been there done that"  It's your lake , you decide.

Do not have much $$$, but every little bit counts - Correct - Is there a minumum donation, and where do we donate?

How about time, swing that bus into elk River, I can get a crew together that would be onboard - If it happens let me know when Doug

Right now, hold off donating $$ to CASST. We will need that done later this spring--no doubt.

That said, we will have a very important place to fund for the Lake Mille Lacs case out soon. We are finalizing the website etc.  soon. PLEASE, when this site is up and running, put every penny you can into it. It wil be the best $$ you've spent. We have NO choice!!

I got a e-mail from my House of Reps. About how much money the state made off of the lottery.
So I thought I'd send him a short reply back. No wonder I did'nd vote for him. He told me last year it's the Fed. Govt. thing.
And he still got voted back in. See nothing going to change down at the Capital. Everyone's payed off.

Tom, that's just great about the lottery money.
But we have big problems going on up at Lake Mille Lacs as you heard, and WE need your help.
Our DNR can't seem to manage the lake at all. The last ten years have been just a guessing game for them. And they get paid for this? There worst then a weather man, lol.
The lake is so screwed up right now it might be just catch an release only this year or worse, a total shoot down.
Just think 13 years ago it was called a walleye factory.
And you know as well as I do it all started then the netting started.
THIS NETTING DURING THE SPAWN HAS GOT TO STOP.
It is not 1837 any more. It's 2013 and we all need to live by the same rules and laws.
And don't say it's a Fed. Gov. thing because it's not.
Lake Mille Lacs is a Minnesota lake, and it belongs to all of us.
We need all of you down at the capital to tell the DNR to do the right thing for the people of this state before it ends up like Upper Red Lake did.A ghost town.
You would think you all would of learned from that.
That for reading my rand.but we really need to STOP THE NETTING DURNIG THE SPAWN

Here's his reply:
Tom,

I know!  This has been a horrible, outrageous, travesty!  I wish I could fix it?  If I could, I would, and I wouldn't have sold my place on Isle Bay last November.

EVERY state and federal rep from MN. needs letters like this guys! Good job! We need to force Al and Amy on this as they are with the asian carp ordeal...or are we at Mille Lacs just chopped liver to them? Where the hell is the Governor?!! He ran his mouth in his 2010 campaign and then NOTHING!! GUTLESS!! They are ALL  gutless!!! And the Mn. DNR Commish is the biggest gutless one of the bunch!!

Fact is, and we all should be clear, if we are going to wait on the GLIFWC and/or government to do the right thing we better not hold our breath.  I propose getting together and creating a solid strategy on how we can do something about this.  One approach will not be enough, we need multiple.  Media, what about getting at every news/radio outlet in MN to get the story/facts out?  Money, how do politicians and the GLIFWC support their habbits?  More.....Everyone has ideas and now is the time to consolidate those ideas and then deliver per plan.

Step 1.

How about a get together to begin creating the strategy?  Name the time/place and I will be there!

Who's in?

Thanks Steve, I thought you would get a kick out of that.
So I replied back with this.

Dear Tom Hackbarth.
So do you think every one on the lake should sell out like you did?

I'll bet I never get a reply.

There is a plan in place that has been developing for a few months. Lawyers have been officially retained. ( I am not talking about the equal rights case/CASST) There soon will be a place/process put into place  to fund this for everyone. And possibly a way for people to officially join the "plaintiffs bar".  Behind the scenes in the past 8-9 months, there has been countless hours meeting with consultants, lawyers and the like to get this mess, finally, headed in the right direction at Lake Mille Lacs. Timing is key. The time has come...
