The entire lake is very quite....fishing hours are at an all time low I would guess. Yes those that do fish are catching the young 10-14 inch fish that are currently in the lake. I have myself have not been on the lake since may 31th
I've been out quite a bit this summer and the majority of the catch has been under 14". It's fun to watch the bobbers go down, but I'd rather leave those fish alone. I took some people out bass fishing a couple weeks ago and we did well with a keeper eye for a bonus.

Hello Friends,
I was out fishing late June the north mud flat area on Sunday, June 28th, and finally got a walleye but none were in the slot; they bit for only a short time ~~ just before a storm hit and I got VERY wet on the way into Hunter's for a cold one which is a long haul in a even a good boat.
I have only been fishing twice this year ~~ which is an all time low for Malmo Mike.
The news article released by Mpls News Channel 11 did not help as the Walleye Quota limit is expected to hit by end of July. I will post that article DNR separately. I am coming home in early fall, but fishing will probably not happen gien the outlook!
